Zeta Beta Tau

Chapter: Alpha Zeta Colony

National Founding Year: 1898

UF Founding Year: 1921

Welcome back to Zeta Beta Tau at the University of Florida!

Founded in 1898 as the world’s first Jewish Fraternity, ZBT prides itself on being an inclusive organization welcoming of any college man who understands and appreciates our Mission. With more than 130,000 initiated men ZBT’s can be found in all aspects of life: business, entertainment, media, politics, and much more. In 1989, ZBT became the first fraternity to abolish pledging from its organization and, in its place, created a brotherhood program that focuses on equal rights, privileges and responsibilities for all brothers. Welcome to our Journey. We invite you to explore everything that makes ZBT a Brotherhood for a Lifetime.

In 1921 ZBT expanded to UF and since then have had a significant impact on the UF community. ZBT is now rejoining our community and we look forward to the new energy they will bring as a new chapter. If you are interested in learning more about ZBT or participating in their recruitment process you can contact one of their national staff members who are on campus recruiting. Becoming a founding father of ZBT is an experience of a lifetime!
