Please note that you must be a degree-seeking student at the University of Florida to join an IFC fraternity. Failure to meet this criteria could lead to student conduct action as it is a violation of University policy. If you have specific questions about your eligibility, please contact the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life at 352-846-3171

Important Reminders:

- Be sure to check in at each chapter you visit.
- There should be no alcohol at any chapter event throughout the week.
- Dress code is comfortable yet presentable. Formal dress is not needed unless you are invited to a specific event hat necessitates it.
- Bids can be given at any time during recruitment week and each chapter determines the time frame for which fraternity bids are outstanding. You can accept the bid (by informing the chapter you are accepting, you are ending your recruitment process and joining a particular fraternity), hold a bi
d (can visit other chapters and think over your decision), or decline a bid (you should only decline if you are 100% sure that the fraternity is not right for you. Please be respectful and contact the fraternity that extended the bid and inform them of your decision).

-  Meal Plans: For housed IFC fraternities, in-house meal plans are mandatory. The University of Florida has switched to Chartwells Higher Education for all on-campus food services. For you to switch from a UF meal plan to a chapter’s meal plan, the chapter will put your information into GatorConnect. You will receive an email from UF Business Services or Chartwells with information on how to change your plan. Please follow all instructions and complete the process as soon as you receive the email.
