National Founding Year: 1868
UF Founding Year: 1904
The Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity was founded in 1868 at the University of Virginia and in 1904 the Alpha Eta chapter was established here at the University of Florida. With over 100 years of tradition at UF, Alpha Eta prides itself on its ability to produce campus leaders, dominant athletes, dedicated scholars, and most importantly, well-rounded gentlemen. The brothers of Alpha Eta continuously support the community with several major philanthropies, many service projects, and a close bond with the Boys and Girls Club of Alachua County. With an impressive alumni base and a close-knit brotherhood, Pikes at UF have endless opportunities as undergraduates and alumni.
Our chapter has produced over 3,439 initiates that have shaped this University’s history as well as the commercial, political, and social history of Florida and the United States. As a result, this makes us the largest Pike Chapter in total initiates and one of the largest Fraternity Chapters in the United States.
