Chi Phi is the oldest social fraternity in the United States of America, formed in 1824 at Princeton University. Over the course of 190 years, Chi Phi has become one of the premier fraternities in the United States with upwards of 45,000 alumni from over 100 different chapters. All stand for our core values of truth, honor, and personal integrity.

The Theta Delta Chapter of Chi Phi Fraternity at the University of Florida was chartered in 1935 after the approval of a petition from Alpha Delta, a local fraternity, to join Chi Phi. Over the course of many years in which Chi Phi was on the University campus, it became one of the largest men’s social fraternities. It is housed on 1 Fraternity Row, with the house being built and dedicated to the fraternity in 1970.

Our members carry a wide array of on-campus involvement positions including, but not limited to, Florida Blue Key, Student Senate, IFC Executive Board and Directorships, Dance Marathon Captains, Gator Growl, Florida Cicerones, Order of Omega, and Greek Ambassadors.
